About Gardenia

Gardenia

gar·de·nia
/ɡärˈdēnyə/

a tree or shrub with large fragrant white or yellow flowers. Native to warm climates, it is widely cultivated.

Gardenias symbolize harmony and joy. We strive to create cultural and flavorful harmony between our coffee, food, and community.

OUR STORY

A coffee house, restaurant, and event space walk into a Victorian-styled mansion…introducing Gardenia in downtown Los Gatos.

Our goal is to blend the cultural and flavorful harmonies between coffee, cuisine, and wine. Our coffee is sourced from Panama, Colombia, and El Salvador, and our food is a fusion of appetizing Asian cuisine and elegant French gastronomy.

Carol Wang, Gardenia’s founder and owner, named the coffee house and restaurant after her mother’s love of gardenias. The flowers, which have a notable fragrance, also represent elegance and harmony. She has worked closely with the executive chef, David Intonato, to create a menu that blends just that – food that merges cultural diversity and flavor harmony.

Hospitality

Hospitality is one of our highest pillars at Gardenia. We strive to provide for and please our guests as much as possible. We want our guests to depart feeling full of food, drink, and good experience.

Honesty

Honesty is the driving force among our employees. We train our employees to be honest to one another and to our guests. We also aim to provide transparency in our ingredient quality – fresh, daily, from our partners at Greenleaf SF.

Community

Community is one of our larger focuses here. We want to foster a welcoming and warm environment for everyone who enters as well as build a cohesive team among our staff.
